Eagle pipe FA - PUMPED MEAT

The Eagle Pipe FA- fat analysis X ray system is specifically designed for the inspection of pumped meat products. The system calculates Chemical Lean of the meat as it passes through. The fat analysis, CL value, is accurate within 1%. The Eagle Pipe FA will also provide weight recording accurate to +/- 1%.

The system can also automatically detect and reject foreign body contaminants such as; metals, glass, stone, bone, PVC, Teflon, Stainless Steel (even in aluminium foil products). Smiths Heimann have developed SimulTask™ software providing each contaminant type to be independently analysed. All image analysis routines are run simultaneously, thus optimising detection capability and minimising false rejects.

With the Eagle pipe FA foreign body detection is from 2.0mm sphere stainless steel and 4.0mm sphere glass, the Eagle Pipe FA is the most complete inspection solution for the meat industry.

Data from both the high energy and low energy detectors is inputted to an

algorithm that determines the chemical lean (CL) content of pumped meat

This chemical lean calculation occurs at the same time as other algorithms are analyzing the image for contaminants.

The attenuation of the high and low energy x-rays differ as they pass

through the pumped meat according to the fat content of the meat, this allows real time 100 fat content measurement.
