Plastic metal separation Compact, high sensitivity industrial metal detector separator designed for the plastics industry.  
The MESEP® compact achieves maximum sensitivities up to 0.5mm. With the MESEP® compact , Cassel developed a electronic metal separator which separates any kind of metallic contaminants directly at the processing machine. It has a very space-saving assembly height of only 220 mm. The separation is carried out without any movable or mechanical components, using a newly developed compressed-air separating method. So you get a powerful, but economic unit. For only a fraction of the investment costs of the injection moulding machine, it can be effectively protected against metallic contaminations, and costly failures during the production process can be avoided.

 

Application: The MESEP® compact is used in the plastics industry, particularly where outstanding sensitivity to metal is required, and where only little space for the installation of a metal separator is available.

It is directly mounted on extruders or injection moulding machines, where the material is slowly sliding downward to the machine. The MESEP® compact is not suited to metal separation from freely falling products. For such cases, the MESEP® digital is the best solution.

Operating Principle: The MESEP® compact consists of the following assemblies:

The conveyed plastic material slides vertically through the metal detector and following blow-off unit into the material intake of the extruding or moulding machine. On detecting metal, the metal-contaminated materials are blown off before entering the machine.

 

Application: Every injection moulding machine should be equipped with this unit.

 

Special Characteristics

Removal of smallest to large metallic contaminations without

mechanical separating components. Very low assembly height owing to the newly developed metal separation method by means of precision compressed-air nozzles; self-monitoring, instant indication of equipment faults. Very simple starting due to intuitive operation and only by pressing a key.
