Application:
The
MESEP® SE is used where the maximum requirements
are made to detection
sensitivity. With
regard to mechanics, it is similar to the Standard
separator.
Unlike
the MESEP® STANDARD, however, it includes digital
evaluation electronics which
provides much higher detection
sensitivity. To protect the
sensible electronics even in a
tough working environment, it
is arranged in its own enclosure
– away from the
separating mechanics.
The
MESEP® SE allows processing of critical bulk materials
with significant product
effects. Digital measured
value processing allows
blanking-out of these interfering
effects, and to detect
smallest metallic particles of 0.15 mm
minimum.
The
MESEP® SE is used in places where
long equipment running times
are required. The high sensitivity
of the separator guarantees
shortest possible machine
downtimes and metal-free final
products according to nominal
sensitivity. Particularly in
cases, in which final products
can be produced economically
only as large batch, the
machine will a very short pay
back.

All
MESEP® SE units are equipped with a digital
signal processor, fully
automatic product effect suppression,
continuous dual-channel
evaluation, and vibration resistant
sensor. The settings are shown
as text on an LCD. The
unit can train and save a max. of 150 individual
product effects.
Operating
Principle:
The control unit supplies a
high-frequency AC voltage to a
transmitter coil being
arranged in the tunnel and generating
an electromagnetic field,
which changes as soon as a
metallic particle comes in. A
receiver coil in the tunnel grabs
this change and transmit it as
a measuring signal to the
control unit to analyse the
signal's frequency spectrum.
The frequency spectrum is the
fingerprint of the measured
signal. If it includes
interference components, the fingerprint
differs from the standard. The
spectrum analysis is an excellent
method to differentiate
between the smallest metallic
particles and interference
signals in a stable and reliable
way.
By
request, metal signals and other operation data are put
out by a log printer.
Temperature variations and
environmental influences are
compensated automatically.
