The metal detector DSP-COMBI is a highly sensitive sensor which has been developed  especially for inspection of wide textile widths. It enables to detect smallest particles of metal.

The metal detector is constructed as a multi-segment-sensor. The total inspection-field of the detector is thus divided into several single fields, each of them being about 300 mm wide. This makes it possible to detected metal particles to assign a definite area of the textile width. 

Special Characteristics of the metal detector:

Due to extremely high sensitivities of the single segments, smallest particles of metal can be detected. 

Diameter of smallest observable metal-balls: about 0,3 - 0,6 mm (depending on distance to the sensor).

The sensor meets highest hygienic demands: Mounting frame and housings of the sensors are made of stainless steel. The sensors itself are encapsulated and water- and dust-proof.

The required metal-free zone for the detector is small. This simplifies the installation of the detector even beneath restricted place and metal parts in the closer surroundings.
